RAVENOL ETC Concentrate Protect C12evo is an eco-friendly coolant free from 2-ethylhexanoic acid. It is a borate, nitrite and phosphate-free coolant for cooling circuits in combustion engines based on 1,2- ethanediol (monoethylene glycol), which provides maintenance-free corrosion and frost protection. This product is formulated as long-term radiator protection based on the latest Si-OAT technology. Organic acids work together with mineral silicates to provide the best possible protection.

RAVENOL ETC Concentrate Protect C12evo is an ethylene glycol–based coolant developed using Si-OAT (Silicated Organic Acid Technology). The formulation is designed to provide long-term corrosion protection and frost protection for cooling systems in combustion engines when mixed with water at the correct ratio.

This coolant is free from 2-ethylhexanoic acid (2-EHA) as well as nitrites, amines, phosphates, and borates, and is suitable for modern aluminium and mixed-metal cooling systems. It is supplied as a concentrate and must be diluted with water before use.

Mixing Guide

The concentrate must be mixed with water prior to use. Typical mixing ratios are shown below:

  • Protection to approx. -20°C 35% coolant / 65% water
  • Protection to approx. -37°C 50% coolant / 50% water
  • Protection to approx. -50°C 60% coolant / 40% water

The minimum recommended concentration is 35%, and the maximum is 60%. Always follow the vehicle manufacturer’s recommendations when selecting concentration ratios.

Key Features & Characteristics

  • Long-term corrosion protection for aluminium and mixed-metal cooling systems
  • Si-OAT inhibitor technology combining organic acids with silicates
  • Helps prevent deposits and foam formation in the cooling system
  • Compatible with elastomers commonly used in automotive radiators
  • Free from nitrites, amines, phosphates, borates, and 2-ethylhexanoic acid
  • Suitable for year-round use when mixed correctly
