Nissan Navara D40 2.5 dCi Service Kit | Spain-Built YD25
The Nissan Navara D40 2.5 is a proven workhorse, but proper servicing is essential if the YD25 engine is to remain reliable under towing, working and high-mileage use.
This service kit has been assembled specifically for Spanish-built Nissan Navara D40 models. It combines the correct quantity of Ravenol HDS 5W-30 engine oil with a matched Ryco oil filter, giving you everything required for a routine engine oil service without having to source each item separately.
It is the same oil and filter combination we use in our own 2006 Nissan Navara D40 King Cab.
What’s Included as Standard
7 Litres of Ravenol HDS 5W-30 Engine Oil
Ravenol HDS 5W-30 is a synthetic, Low SAPS engine oil formulated for diesel engines. Its ACEA C4 specification makes it suitable for compatible DPF-equipped vehicles, while it can also be used in compatible non-DPF YD25 applications.
The standard kit includes:
- One 5-litre container
- Two 1-litre containers
- 7 litres in total
- ACEA C4 specification
- Low SAPS formulation

Seven litres is suitable for most Spanish-built D40 models with an approximate 6.9-litre refill capacity, including the oil filter.
Ryco Z89A Oil Filter
The Ryco Z89A is an OE-equivalent oil filter selected for compatible Spanish-built D40 YD25 engines.
It is designed to provide:
- Reliable contaminant capture
- Correct oil flow
- Appropriate bypass operation
- Protection throughout the normal service interval
Does Your D40 Require 7 or 8 Litres?
Most Spanish-built Nissan Navara D40 models require approximately 6.9 litres of oil when replacing the oil filter. The standard kit therefore supplies 7 litres.
Some early YD25 engines have an approximate refill capacity of 7.6 litres with an oil-filter change. These vehicles require the additional 1-litre option, providing 8 litres in total.
Choose:
- Standard 7L kit for vehicles with an approximate 6.9-litre refill capacity
- Add 1L Extra Engine Oil, 8L Total for early vehicles with an approximate 7.6-litre refill capacity
Oil capacities are approximate and can vary according to engine version, oil temperature and drain time. Always confirm the correct capacity against your vehicle handbook and use the dipstick to set the final oil level. Do not automatically pour the full supplied quantity into the engine.

The RSK12C includes:

When selected, the RSK12C should replace the standard standalone Z89A oil filter, so you receive one complete set of filters without duplicating the oil filter.

Ravenol Professional Engine Cleaner 300ml
Ravenol Professional Engine Cleaner is added to the old engine oil before draining. It is designed to help remove deposits and contaminants before the fresh oil and filter are installed.

Spanish-built and Thai-built Nissan Navara D40 models use different filter applications, so it is important to select the correct service kit.
Check the beginning of your vehicle identification number:
- Spanish-built vehicles typically have a VIN beginning VSK
- Thai-built vehicles typically have a VIN beginning MNT
