A Proper Exhaust Note for the Subaru WRX and STI
The Subaru WRX and STI deserve to sound like performance cars. This XForce 3-inch cat-back exhaust replaces the restrictive factory rear system with a freer-flowing stainless steel layout, giving the car a deeper and more purposeful exhaust note.
Designed for G3 S2 and VA-generation WRX and WRX STI saloon models, the system combines a 3-inch centre pipe, hotdog-style resonator, stainless steel Y-section and twin rear mufflers.
Unlike the Varex version, this system uses conventional fixed rear mufflers. There are no valves, remote controls or adjustable sound settings.
3-Inch Cat-Back Layout
The system begins with a mandrel-bent 3-inch centre section, maintaining a consistent internal diameter through the bends.
A centre hotdog resonator helps refine the exhaust note before the system reaches a cast stainless steel Y-piece. The Y-piece divides the exhaust into twin 2.5-inch rear sections, feeding the two oval rear mufflers.
Exhaust gases then exit through four polished 4-inch tailpipe trims, giving the rear of the car a more purposeful appearance.
Fixed Rear Mufflers
This version uses conventional oval rear mufflers to provide a consistent exhaust note without the additional wiring and control equipment required by a valved system.
It is the more straightforward option for owners who want an upgraded exhaust sound at all times and do not require adjustable Varex volume control.
Because this is a fixed system, the exhaust cannot be switched into a quieter setting. Actual volume and cabin resonance will vary depending on the vehicle, driving conditions and any other exhaust modifications fitted.
Brushed 304 Stainless Steel
The system is manufactured from brushed 304-grade stainless steel for durability, corrosion resistance and reliable performance through repeated heat cycles.
The vehicle-specific pipework and mounting arrangement allow the exhaust to follow the original route beneath the car.

Important Compatibility Information
This system is designed for saloon models only.
It does not fit:
- G3 WRX or WRX STI hatchback models
- 2022-onwards VB-generation Subaru WRX
- Earlier GD-generation Subaru Impreza WRX/STI models
This is the conventional fixed-muffler system. It does not include Varex valves, remote controls or adjustable exhaust volume.
