How an Anti-Roll Bar Works

An anti-roll bar connects the suspension on the left and right sides of the vehicle. During cornering, it resists the difference in suspension movement between the two sides, reducing body roll and helping the vehicle respond more directly to steering inputs.

Unlike fitting substantially stiffer suspension springs, an uprated anti-roll bar primarily changes the vehicle’s behaviour during cornering. This makes it a useful upgrade for owners wanting sharper handling without completely changing the Mustang’s everyday ride characteristics.

Some reduction in independent wheel movement may still be noticeable over uneven surfaces.

Three-Position Adjustment

Increasing front roll stiffness on its own can increase the vehicle’s tendency towards understeer, particularly when the bar is used on a firmer setting. Combining the front and rear Pedders bars provides greater control over the overall handling balance and allows the suspension to be tuned more effectively.

The front bar can still be fitted independently, particularly where the vehicle already has other suspension modifications, but the complete front and rear setup is the recommended option for a properly balanced upgrade.

Installation
