An oil service and a full service are not the same thing

Shopping for a 4×4 service kit commonly gives you two choices. You can purchase a basic oil-and-filter kit, or a complete package containing every available filter.

But what happens when your vehicle needs something in between?

Your air filter may be due while the fuel filter was replaced recently. You might need a cabin filter but not an entire filtration package. Equally, you may be carrying out a major service and want everything supplied together.

That is why our service-kit range is built around both the vehicle and the level of service being completed.

Routine servicing

Oil and filter service kit

Start with the correct engine oil quantity and matched oil filter required for a routine oil change.

Major servicing

Complete service kit

Add the available air, fuel and cabin filters individually, or select a complete matched filter package where offered.

Build the service around the work being carried out

1

Choose your vehicle

Select the correct model, generation and engine rather than relying on a generic kit carrying the right manufacturer badge.

2

Start with the essentials

The standard configurable kit supplies the correct oil quantity and oil filter for a routine engine service.

3

Add what is due

Where available, add the air, fuel or cabin filters required for the service being completed.

Built around the vehicle, not simply the badge

A service kit should be more specific than saying it fits a Navara, Ranger, D-Max or Hilux. Different engines, model generations and production locations can use different oils, capacities and filtration components.

Spanish-built and Thai-built Nissan Navara D40 models use different filtration configurations. The Isuzu D-Max 1.9 and 2.5 use different engines with their own servicing requirements. Ford Ranger and Toyota Hilux oil requirements also vary between different generations and engines.

Oil viscosity is only part of the answer.

Two oils can display the same viscosity while carrying different specifications, manufacturer approvals and emissions-system compatibility. Each service-kit page explains the oil and quantity selected for that application.

Our kits use Ravenol engine oils and Ryco filtration components where available, selected around the vehicle application shown on the product page.

If you are unsure which version you have, send us your registration or vehicle details before ordering and we will help check fitment wherever possible.

Which level of service does your 4×4 need?

Routine engine oil service

Choose the standard oil-and-filter package when completing a straightforward engine oil change.

Oil service with selected filters

Add an air, fuel or cabin filter when that particular component is due for replacement and individual filter options are available.

Full major service

Select all the available filters or choose a complete matched service package when carrying out a more comprehensive service.

Always follow the manufacturer’s servicing schedule and inspect the vehicle before deciding which components require replacement.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to replace every filter at every service?

Not necessarily. Replacement requirements depend on mileage, servicing history, vehicle use, component condition and the manufacturer’s schedule. The oil filter should normally be replaced with the engine oil, while other filters may follow different intervals.

Can I buy only the engine oil and oil filter?

Yes, where the service kit is offered in configurable form. The standard package begins with the engine oil and oil filter needed for a routine oil service.

Can I order a complete service kit?

Yes. Some applications are supplied as complete service packages, while configurable products allow all the additional filters to be selected when carrying out a major service.

How do I know which service kit fits my vehicle?

Check the listed model generation, engine, production years and compatibility information. If you are uncertain, contact Auto House Shop with your registration or vehicle details before ordering.

Is UK delivery included?

Yes. UK delivery is included in the website price. Current availability and estimated delivery information are shown on the relevant product page before ordering.
